As industrial production processes become ever more demanding, the requirements for compressed air treatment and drying processes are also on the rise. Reliable dew point measurement and continuous monitoring of the dew point using a dew point transmitter is therefore crucial in ensuring that the entire production process runs smoothly and safeguarding a high level of product quality.
E+E dew point transmitters are suitable for installation in compressed air systems and pipelines with an operating pressure of up to 100 bar (1450 psi) and precisely measure the dew point temperature down to -60 °C Td (-76 °F Td).
As they are very small and highly accurate, E+E dew point transmitters are also ideal for OEM applications, for example for adsorption dryers, refrigeration dryers or plastic dryers.

Compressed air systems in particular require continuous dew point measurement with dew point transmitters. Excessive humidity in the compressed air can result in dangerous corrosion. This causes damage to the system or loss of quality for the end product.
The E+E dew point transmitters enable measurement of particularly low dew points down to -60 °C Td (-76 °F Td). A dew point sensing element specially developed for this purpose combined with an auto-calibration procedure ensures highly accurate measurement of ±2°C Td.
The monolithic E+E dew point sensing element combines a humidity and temperature sensing element on a single glass substrate. The optimal thermal coupling between the two sensing elements is the prerequisite for the reproducible auto-calibration procedure.
During the auto-calibration, the sensor is heated up at regular intervals, so that the relative humidity on the humidity sensing element falls to 0 %. This enables exact zero point adjustment. In this way, even very low dew points can be measured with very high accuracy.
